Overview

Capture life’s special moments as they happen with the new Dual Camera GH4 from Sanyo camcorders which records Full HD 60i video and up to 10 megapixel digital photos.

The Sanyo VPC-GH4 digital video camera delivers excellent 10X dual range zoom for video and 5x optical zoom for photos. It has a more traditional horizontal design, but this product is far from ordinary. Its compact, lightweight design makes the Sanyo GH4 digital video camera extremely portable and easy to use.

Recording videos, shooting photos and accessing settings in the menu can easily be controlled with the user’s thumb.  The Full HD GH4 digital video camera MPEG4/H.264 recording format makes sharing videos and photos via social networking web sites, portable video devices like iPod’s, TV’s and computers, a breeze. Offering style, performance and value, the GH4 provides a convenient way to capture both videos and photos in daily life or for special events.

Style Design Made Simple
The GH4 Sanyo video camera packs cutting edge technology into a compact camera. Designed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand, the GH4 Sanyo digital camera features an easy to navigate menu which make it a great choice for the beginner and the more advanced user. It is the perfect blend of style, performance, and ease of use.

10 Megapixel Still Image Quality
In addition to Full HD 1080 Video the GH4 Sanyo video camera captures amazing 10 megapixel photos.
10X Dual Range Zoom (video) 5x Optical Zoom (photos)
While the GH4 Sanyo digital camera measures in at just over 1″ in width, it features a full 10X Dual Range Zoom for video.  With Sanyo’s 10X Dual Range Zoom Technology the field of view is dramatically increased. The photo zoom capability is 5x Optical Zoom.

Embedded Software for Sharing Videos and Photos
The GH4 Sanyo video camera features SANYO’s embedded software application for sharing videos and photos to social media websites. The first time the Full HD GH4 Sanyo digital camera is connected to the PC, the Simple Uploader application installer will appear. The application installation takes less than one minute. Videos and photos can be tagged and quickly uploaded to Facebook™, YouTube™ and Picassa™ using the Simple Uploader.  A convenient link to Tweet on Twitter is available as well.

Large, 2.7 -inch Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)
The display flips out from the camera and rotates up to 285 degrees on an axis that allows you to take great video or still images from otherwise-difficult-to-view positions, proving to be especially useful when shooting in confined spaces.

Speed Sequential Photo Mode
This camera features a sequential “photo” shooting mode.  When the user selects this mode the camera will take multiple photos in sequential order; providing multiple photos frames.  The perfect solution for action photography!

Video and Photo Image Stabilizer
The Sanyo camcorders GH4 features a new photo stabilizer.  This technology actually takes two photos at the same time; one at a faster shutter speed and one at a slower shutter speed.  The camera combines the benefits of both of the shutter speeds, resulting in an image that has less blur and less noise.

Using a proprietary Sanyo algorithm, the GH4 Sanyo camcorders automatically compensates for distracting up-and-down or side-to-side camera movement, keeping your video and photo subjects steady and easy to follow. It accurately distinguishes between unintentional camera shake and deliberate camera movement. This handy feature operates in both wide-angle and telephoto modes.

Video and Photo Face Detection
The Sanyo camcorders GH4 Full HD utilizes specialized video and photo face detection technology.  This feature recognizes multiple subjects’ faces and optimizes focus / aperture settings to ensure each individual is in focus.

Target a Color Function

The GH4 Sanyo digital camera tracks and focuses on moving subjects, such as children or pets, by detecting their colors. Even if you close the LCD panel temporarily, tracking will resume when you start shooting again.

Eye Fi Compatibility
The Full HD GH4 Sanyo video camera features enhanced Eye-Fi compatibility.  This Dual Camera will automatically recognize the Eye-Fi wireless SD card when it is inserted.  The GH4 digital video camera also has “smart power” on board which allows the cameras to control the Eye-Fi function and provide power management, automatically shutting the card off when not in use.

Windows 7 Compatible
Sanyo camcorders GH4 digital video camera is fully supported by the latest Windows OS, “Windows 7″, further expanding its capabilities. The video files are displayed in the same thumbnail format as still picture files. They can also be played back directly with Windows Media Player, are editable with Windows Live Movie Maker, and are Device Stage compatible. This makes the files even more convenient for use on computers.

Easy Playback of Recorded Video Directly on a TV
The GH4 Sanyo digital camera features a mini-HDMI output which makes connecting it to a Digital TV or DVD Recorder a breeze.  The Full HD GH4 Sanyo video camera can also easily be connected to a computer to back-up copies of recorded content via the handy USB 2.0 connection. Still images and video clips are played back continuously and in chronological order.  When connected to a PC, simple drag-and-drop operation makes it easy to save recorded video clips and still images onto a computer’s hard disk for emailing, editing or archiving.

Includes a High-Capacity Genuine Sanyo Brand Lithium-ion Battery
The DB-L80 is a high capacity battery designed to work with the Sanyo Dual Camera Xacti GH4 and delivers approximately 60 minutes of video record time or 210 minutes of continuous playback.  High-energy density design minimizes the battery size and weight, making it perfect for use in the Sanyo Dual Camera GH4. It designed to resist memory accumulation so it provides a full charge every time.

SDXC Memory Compatibility (over 64GB SD Cards)
While the GH4 HD camcorders work with standard SD memory, and more high capacity SDHC memory cards, it is also fully compatible with the next generation SDXC memory cards. GH4 HD camcorders can record to more than 64GB of content to SDXC memory cards. This dramatically improves your ability to record and transfer hours and hours of Full HD 1080 videos to a computer. You can also play GH4 Full HD 1080 videos stored on SDXC cards on your high definition TV.

Highly Advanced MPEG4 AVC/H.264 Video Compression
This feature optimizes the file size and makes sharing movies on social networking sites, or emailing them to friends and family, even easier.  In fact, the file size can be up to 25 percent smaller than that of typical MPEG-4 cameras.

To accomplish the complexity of encoding AVC/H.264 in real-time on the GH4, a dedicated H.264 video compression IC was incorporated into the camera that was designed specifically for portable consumer devices.  This achieves high video quality while simultaneously reducing the system power consumption.

Capture Still Images While You’re Shooting Video
GH4 HD camcorders enable simultaneous shooting of video clips and still images with a simple press of the shutter button during the shooting of a movie clip. You will never need to miss another precious photo opportunity. (Depending on the mode used to take still images, simultaneous video clip shooting may be interrupted. While shooting video clips, using the digital image stabilizer may change the angle of view for still images.)

Super-fast Start-up
Reduce your chance of missing the perfect shot. The Dual Camera GH4 Full HD Sanyo camcorders are designed for super fast start-up and shooting. With its tapeless design, the GH4 eliminates the need to queue up a video tape, allowing it to begin shooting in as little as 1.7 seconds.  When the GH4 is powered on, closing the LCD display puts it in standby mode. Simply open the display and the GH4 automatically powers up and can begin immediately recording in as little as 1.7 seconds.

As the person above already said, (and helped correct the Apple dolt bogus review) the person who complained about lacking Mac compatibility is oviously upset about makers who don’t go the extra distance and expense to make things ‘mac compatible’ for the 6% or 7% of the world that use apple computers.

Macs are great, but you have to know going in that many things are not going to be available. Kind of like my darn Windows mobile phone. The iPhone kicks total butt in the ‘app’ world, and now so does Android, so my choice of a Windows Mobile phone (probably as low in usage/popularity numbers as Mac computer users) is now biting ME in the back. BUT I knew that going in, when I picked the Windows Mobile phone platform.

I simply did not want AT&T and hence that rules out the iPhone as an option… Nela/MATMAN (male or female?) I have family that loves their MacBook Pro laptops. They have their place where PCs are just not quite as good to some, and bingo, there you go. I see you deleted you post/reply/comment 3 minutes ago, but if your desire was to annoy people and shed the light away from this Sanyo product, you did it!

I predict this item will have a very basic optical system, and likely (based on simply pricerange) be kinda a weak performer. It is amazing and likely a great item for a kid, but I would not record a wedding with it without really knowing what you get… I am going to post a 4 star review, kind of like you did to balence out the apple clown reviewer above… Generally (actually almost always) brands that are not know for making camera’s (like GE, Kodak {I know they made cameras way back, but anything ‘retail by Kodak is terrible now), Polariod and possibly Sanyo?

In cameras/camcorders, it is ALWAYS best to pick a good lens system, and electrinic processing system over simply megabytes and $$$. My 7 year old Canon takes FAR BETTER PICTURES than the two Kodak point and shoot cameras that I bought a year ago (and one died already after 150 shots). If I had it to do over, I would have spent the money on a used Canon, instead of the ’10.1′ megapixel junk Kodak cameras I did buy.

Several makers have tried to make ‘cheap’ HD (1080) camcorders and have failed miserably. Time will tell (quickly) where Sanyo’s efforts have gotten…

I see the 1 star revew is missing, if not this would actually make alot of sence. The 1 star post was saying how the product was no good at all just because it’s not apple compatable as of yet. It’s just temporatry, I’m sure they will make software for apple in the near future. I hear that this is a newly released product and everthing I have read and from ppl I know who own it say it’s an awesome piece of equiptment.

So he/she is basically saying…
I cannot run the entire sound(P.A.), Lighting, ect… plus all the other high tech systems for to run a live RUSH concert with my MAC, so all that great stuff really stinks! Everythng else that will not run on it is also equally terrible as well!
Other than that, MY MAC ROCKS! lol

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself and hold back on that one. (too bad the scrubbed it)
